This workshop will provide the forum for a series of panel discussions comprised of owners, consultants, and design-build firms to discuss the regional impacts of alternative contract delivery methods. Issues such as work programs, RFP process, and lessons learned will be discussed amongst owners and industry leaders from both the contracting and engineering disciplines.COST: $75 and includes 4 PDH Credits, participation in the daylong event, networking lunch, and self-parking.

Tampa International Airport Master Plan Outreach Event
Are you a small business owner in the construction industry?
Then plan on attending Tampa International Airport’s Master Plan Outreach Fair. The event will connect Master Plan design/build contractors with local subcontractors and woman-owned or minority-owned subcontractors. The Master Plan first phase projects, scheduled to be completed by 2018, include a consolidated rental car facility and automated people mover, the main terminal expansion and concessions redevelopment, roadway improvements and a reconstruction of Taxiway J. Representatives from the selected design/build firms – Austin Commercial, Kimmins Contracting, Cone and Graham, and Skanska – will all be present at the fair.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Four will host an Industry Forum for the 95 Express Phase 3A Design-Build project on Friday, July 18, 2014, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Signature Grand,located at 6900 West State Road 84 in Davie, Florida 33317. The project presentation will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. All prospective proposers are encouraged to attend the optional Industry Forum. Audio from this event will also be streamed live via webcast.
This Industry Forum will include a presentation on the project scope, procurement timeline, and procurement process for the project. After the presentation, time will be allotted for questions from industry partners. The project website, www.95express.com/phase3, will be updated regularly. Registration will open in mid-June. We look forward to a high attendance and will send another email once registration is open.
Design-Build Teams pursuing the 95 Express Phase 3A Design Build project can also request both one-on-one meetings with the District Four Management Team and also with the Technical Review Committee (TRC) by checking the box in the registrationform on the website once it is up. At a minimum, a Design-Build Team constitutes a Lead Contractor and an Engineer of Record. The one-on-one meetings will be held in late Julyat FDOT District Four Headquarters. More details to follow in subsequent emails. You will receive a call from our public information team to schedule those once we receive your form. Thank you.
